Imara Expands its Team

Imara Trust is pleased to announce it has expanded its board of Directors with two professionals who have decades of experience in the fiduciary industry as well as financial services.

Both directors are active across the Imara Group, which will further enhance the synergies between the trust company and the Imara Group in Africa.” says Preetam Prayag, CEO, Imara Trust.

Harry Wulfsohn, is an Executive Director of Imara Holdings Limited and a founder of Fleming Wulfsohn Africa whose main investment is Imara. Has over 20 years’ financial services experience in Africa and the UK. Has been involved with the Wulfsohn family interests in various sectors across Central and Southern Africa over many years. A former Director of The Stenham Group, for 15 years, which specialised in asset management and trust and company administration initially for Southern African clients before expanding globally.

Qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked at Arthur Andersen, London, holds the Investment Management Certificate of the Institute of Investment Management and Research, London and a BSc (Hons) from Manchester University.

Brighton Jena has experience in the financial services sector covering audit, corporate finance, financial management, financial reporting, investment management and taxation. He completed his articles of clerkship with Ernst & Young and subsequently joined Imara Corporate Finance Zimbabwe, where he was an Executive Director by the time he left to join Syfrets Corporate and Merchant Bank. At Syfrets, he initially headed the venture capital subsidiary and was later Managing Director of Syfrets Asset Management, a position which he held until 2006 when he returned to Imara Corporate Finance in South Africa. Brighton has been Financial Director for the South African group of companies since 2008.

To support our growth, two additional staff joined us on 1st June 2017 – one Client Executive and one Client Accountant.

It is a dynamic time for Imara Trust and we are excited with the new developments which will further strengthen our position as a leading trust and corporate services provider in Mauritius.
